Storyboard
The storyboard has a total 25 shots, most of the shots (21 of them) have full detail of the type of shot, the duration of the shot and detail of the action. However the last four lack full detail but still maintain the duration of the shot and what type it is. I believe that this piece of work is at the Merit level, if not it's very close and only needs detail for those last few shots.
Shotlist
The shot list has detail, but it follows the storyboard instead of collecting all the shots into one. For example all the close ups should be together instead of following the storyboard. So at the moment this is only a pass. However if the shots were re arranged it could reach a merit level.
Prop list
The prop list for this shot looks incomplete. It has some of the items needed but also has unneeded information like having women's make-up instead of male's (might be a nit pick). The clothing is wrong and should only have casual clothing instead of smart clothing. The detail is also lacking and NEEDS more info; like why they are wearing that clothing, does it appeal to the audience? It stands as a pass.
Location reccess
The recee has the needed photos for the shot but lacks photos of the stairs and fails to go into detail about the huge hazed that faces the group. This is needed because without this the recce is not fully completed and it stands as a pass.
Script
The script looks detailed with information in each shot, but is missing the first two shots from the storyboard. I believe it stands as a strong merit or possible distinction.
Permissions for filming
While the permission is there, it is meant to be in an e-mail format and is the wrong date (understandable). We need an email with detail about what we intend to do, where we are going to do it and why we need to do this. So it stands as uncompleted and a pass.
Personal
This has much more detail with accurate description of the people that are filming in this. But doesn't have photos of the people in the crew and because of this it is just off from being complete. Get the photos to get the merit.
Booking equipment
The photo is there, but maybe a small write up is needed explain more about the equipment. Pass lv
risk- pass Talk about any other risks.
Schedule- merit lv. has information

S.R.S- of a young man around the age of 16. Wearing formal clothing
with his hand in his pockets, looking around after he has entered the
building. He is standing more towards the right hand side of the camera.
L.S- of the same young man look towards the left hand side, he then
turns around and walks up the staircase. His hands are still in his pockets
while he slowly walks up the staircase.
C.U – The next shot focuses on the young man’s face as he heads
towards his destination. This shot displays what he might be thinking or
feeling as he goes there.
L.S- this shot has the camera face the back of the man as he goes
into the library. One of the important things that needs to be in this shot
is the LRC logo, which helps the audience understand where he has
arrived. His hands are now out of his
pockets.
L.S- this shot has the camera at has the camera close to the door
looking over the LRC. Of course the camera can’t be too close to the door in
case people need to leave or enter the area.
This was also one of the few shots that doesn’t have any of our actors
in the shot.
M.S – the next camera shot will have the young man walking down the
narrow path towards the part of the library that has selves of books. In this
shot his hands are back in his pockets as he strolls down the path, there
should be nothing behind him in this shot as it would ruin it by having two
people trying to go that narrow path.
W.M.S- This shot now positions the young man in front of one the
selves as he reaches his arm out and looks through a book about film. His
expression is that of someone that seems very board and is looking for
something to do. His hand should just be about to take a book of the shelve
without fully taking it off.
C.U – The next shot the cuts to the actors face after he has opened
one of the books of the shelve. He still looks uninterested as he flicks the
books pages at a slow speed. But near the end of this shot his expression
starts to change from board and uninterested to suddenly interested. The book
shall be a media book called ‘Editing’ if this book isn’t available another
media book will be used.
C.U- This shot then has the camera looking into the book as we see a
10 pound note with a bright yellow sticky note attached to the money. The
note must have ‘’random acts of kindness, pass it on!’’ written on it. Then
young man than proceeds to lift it up.
C.U- the shot that follows is of the young man’s face after he finds
the money. He should be smiling and have his eyes focused on the money and
the note.
C.U- This next shot places the bright yellow sticky note (yellow to
help it stand out) in his hand. It’s vital that the camera picks up the
writing on the note. With the random acts of kindness, pass it on! On the
note.
E.C.U – The next shot then has the camera pointing towards a clock.
This shot would be to enforce that time has passed since the young man has
found the money witch he needed to buy a new pair of shoes. The time on the
clock isn’t important as it is only needed to show that time has passed. The
clock is above two rows between the Marxism and philosophy book rows.
E.C.U – This shot than focuses on the new pair of shoes that the
young man will be wearing. The camera will have to be placed under a table as
the young man will be sitting down for the shots that follow after this.
C.U – The camera is then moved above the table to show the young man
looking down at an open book with two other books on his right hand side
closed. This shot should also include him putting his hand in his pocket as
he reaches in to grab something. What he’s getting should not be seen by the
audience.
M.S- the next shot has the young man’s hand with another 10 pound
note placed on top of some pages of the book. The book should be about
filming (which can be found easily in the library). The page it’s on isn’t
important though. The same book called ‘Editing’ shall be used if it has already
been used earlier.
C.U- This shot introduces a new character to the film. This character
is clearly different to the other character. He is looking threw some books
with a similar uninterested face with his arm reaching out towards the
selves.
C.U – this next shot has he second character pull out the book that
he first character put the money in. He must look at other books first though
instead of just going to the book with money inside.
E.L.M- this next shot changes to the characters face. With the look
of happiness on his face and a smile. He must be looking downwards at the
book.
E.L.M/C.U – this shot continues the last shot with the 10 pound note
and sticky note. It is vital that the book is placed in the eyeline view of
the character to continue the continuity. Because this is the final shot a
fade out shall be used to the logo of Random Acts of Kindness.

SFX
Birds chirping, students talking.
And the wind blowing. A happy and upbeat song should also be playing
in the background but it must not dominate the audio for the film. The song
will be chosen and added during the post-production stage. This song must
also be instrumental and play throughout most of the film.
SFX
The door closing behind him, without any large thud as it closes
slowly. Because he closes it with his hand instead of just letting the close
by itself.
SFX
We hear the shoes that he is wearing give off a soft thud as he walk
up the stairs. However the sound seems much louder as the staircase has been
known to echo with enough force.
SFX
The only major sound that should be prominent in this shot is the
sound of footsteps that our actor makes.
SFX
Now we start to gain some different sounds instead of just footsteps.
We hear the sound of people in the area typing on their computers as they get
work done. The printer might also be heard to the right hand side of where
the camera is going too placed. Finally there might be some dialogue from people
off-screen behind us, so we’ve got to make sure that anybody checking out a
book behind us to prevent this.
SFX
Some of the sounds from the previous shot might be present in this
one as well. However we will be able to lose the dialogue of random people
behind the camera and the sound of the door creaking open. The sound of a
cooler is also present but I’d want to avoid having that in the film if
possible.
SFX
The sound of footsteps that the young man made while walking has now
came to a complete stop. Most of the background noise should also be gone as
this is now out of the area with computers surrounding the camera and
printers being to the right hand side of the camera. We should hear the sound
of books being shuffled around a bit as he casually browses at what is in
front of him.
SFX
The dominant sound in this shot is the flipping sound the pages of
the book makes as he turns them. No other sound should be heard in this shot.
SFX
The dominant sound for this shot shall be the crunching sound the
note and sticky note makes when he grabs it out of the book. No other sounds are needed.
SFX
While no natural sound should be present, a sound effect that I want
to be added later on during the post production stage is the sound of a cash
register to add a comedic effect.
SFX
Yet again to real dominant sound should be present, but I want a
sound effect of someone saying ‘’Pass it on!’’ to be added during the post
production stage.
SFX
The sound of the clock ticking is the important part of audio that
must be captured in this scene. An extra sound to be added is a whooshing
sound that so that a large amount of time has passed.
SFX
The sound of books being opened should be heard and not seen as it
will make it more interesting as the audience will be guessing what the young
man is doing.
SFX
This shot will have much more sound than the previous shots with the
sound of a books pages being flipped. The sound of something of the young
man’s hand rummaging through his pockets is also heard.
SFX
A very soft thud should be heard as the young man places the money
and a yellow sticky note with ‘’Pass it on!’’ (Not the same one). The A
crunching sound of the note and note should also be present.
SFX
The sound of the books being shuffled and moved about by this
character should be heard.
SFX
The pages should be flipped at a faster pace than then first
character.
SFX
Like a few other selected shots, a sound effect should be added in
the post-production stage of the same cash register.
SFX
The two main sounds that might be heard is the cooler down the
pathway or he ticking of the clock.
