22B: Proposal

Working title:
Urban Net - Netting your attention worldwide.
Product Online:
The product will be around 15 seconds long for the new youth channel Urban Net. We are creating this ident because we want to brand the channel and give it an identity. This new ident shall be an amazing, fresh new ident that with some research has been proven to appeal to the target audience.
Target Audience:
The target age is around 16-25 years old. The ident shall appeal to both genders, and the ident shall appeal to all ethnicity's. However, the white ethnicity seem to be the largest audience.
Content:
A synopsis of the advert: The advert will start with the camera being static close up of a clay version of the urban net logo. Then the logo shall come alive and grow small legs and arms and start to stand upwards. Then it shall walk of the screen and then the camera shall zoom out and face northwards to include the background. After the logo has passed a few locations it shall arrive at a young person’s home than explode. Two of the chosen locations for the ident are: The London eye and the Eiffel Tower. This two locations would show that the channel appeals on a global scale.
Structure:
Beginning - The beginning shall be the camera staying static in a close up angle focusing on the urban net logo with nothing else in shot. It shall then come alive.
Middle -The middle of the advert will have the logo walking across different locations these being: the Eiffel Tower, the London Eye and finally a football post that is orange. This orange post is a representation of the channel without any words, plus it being a football post would appeal towards any football fans that may be watching.

The youth shall then pick it up then explode to finish the ident. The logo will splash onto the screen being both orange and a light green.
Colours
The colours in the ident will be very bright. Orange will be the
dominant colour as the logo is the same colour. Because this will help give the
channel an identity. The reason orange is the main colour of the ident Is because orange is a warm, dynamic and bold colour. Green is also included in the logo of Urban Net.
Animation materials/techniques
The animation in the ident will be stop-motion only. This animation
would appeal to the target audience and will be far easier to do within the
amount of time given. Plus stop-motion animation stands out much more than digital animation.
Editing techniques
The editing will be at a decent pace during the ident. The ident will
feature beat editing in order to appeal to the target audience. It was also make the ident much more
interesting and plays a part of the channels identity of being very active and hyper. If the editing was too slow and would portray the channel as something very slow and boring. The ident will also feature some beat editing which would appeal to the audience more.
Locations/Setting
The locations in the ident are the most important part. Most of the
ident will be filmed in front of a green screen to get bigger and grander
locations like the houses of parliament ad the London eye. The most important
is when the logo is outside and in front of an orange football post. The orange
is apart of the channels identity along side the fast editing. These would both make the channel stand out far more in comparison to something like e4 and they would leave a impression on the viewer.
Music
The music that shall play in the background will be instrumental pop
music. I chose pop music because my research has shown me this is the type of
music that appeals most to my target audience. Plus by using pop music we can give the channel even more energy. Giving the ident more energy is one of the ways this ident shall appeal to the target audience.
Implementation plan
Format
The format for the ident shall be YouTube high definition video. ( HDV).
Running time
The overall run time for my ident will be around the 15 second mark. Its only 15 seconds long because we don't want to bore our audience with a long, dull ident. The goal is to wow to audience with a exciting ident that will make them remember the channel.
